Prayers of the People
Dear gracious heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, loving Holy Spirit,
our God, we thank you that we have been gathered here, once again, to be
gifted with a worship time in your communion.
We praise you; we worship you; and we are so blessed by the
presence of the Holy Spirit in our beliefs, our thoughts, and our
feelings. Thank you for
continually showing us, in new ways in our lives, that our salvation is
located in Jesus Christ.
By your will, we take this time to pray for others. First, we pray for the church of Jesus Christ, all over this
world, that our witness to who He is in our lives will reach out to and
bring your people into the church, through faith, who are not there,
right now in their lives.
Even, in our community, we believe that there are brothers and sisters,
whom you desire to bring into the family of the faith of Christ. Help us to discern your will in this way.
We desire to participate with you in your ministry to people whom
you are calling into faith.
For our loves ones, for our sisters and brothers sitting with us, for
those who are not here today, and for ourselves too, when it comes to
concerns, anxieties, troubles, illnesses, emotional issues, we lift to
you in pray, as we pray silently…and as we pray audibly…
Also, Lord, we pray about civil concerns and issues all around this
world. May your
righteousness by the Spirit, offer guidance in every situation, where
worldly wicked people are removed from political authority, and wise
life giving persons, who seek to care for the oppressed and needy will
be placed in offices of importance.
Thank you for the personal loved ones, family members, and friends,
whose lives have moved forward in being closer to you.
We thank you for the faith that they have showed us in our lives.
These are our prayers, in Jesus’ name.
