Prayers of the People
Almighty, and all loving God, by your will for us, and your choice to
organize our lives and lead us to where we chose to come together, we
begin our praise for you with thanksgiving for all you have done for us
in our lives. We praise
you, in that we know that your glory transcends even our imagination.
You have created us because of your choice not to be God without
us. You have placed down many blessing in our lives, and we thank
you for giving us the recognition of these, in that we know to thank
you. And we believe that
there are blessing in our lives with Christ, his death and resurrection,
that we still need to understand and experience.
Our prayer is that you will fill us with your Holy Spirit, breath your
Spirit upon us in that we may hear Christ telling us in our souls to be
at peace. Show us as your
church, your congregation, how important our relationships with one
another are. Help us to
hear your Word, experience you love, and know that as we praise you,
worship you, pray to you, and learn from you with one another, that we
are coming to see who we truly are in Jesus Christ. We ask for our time at Sunflower Park, that the worship and
the Eucharist will be a real blessing to our sisters and brothers who
reside there.
We seek, now to open our hands before you and lay out our needs in
prayer. There are those among us, who are suffering from various
illnesses, there are those who love them and give their lives in
service, which need the blessing of your presence and peace in their
hearts… We take a moment
of silent prayer to lift our cares before you.
For so many major concerns in this world, we pray for your truth to have
the final word. We pray for
our troops in Iraq, and other parts of this world dealing with
terrorism. Protest them.
Let them know of your reality and presence in their lives.
And lead the political authorities in all the various communities
to make decisions and take actions that care for persons who need up
building in this world. May
the church of Jesus Christ have a real influence in this world?
We end our prayers in thanksgiving, O God.
Thank you that we may pray to you with our Lord Jesus Christ in
the Holy Spirit. These are
some of our prayers. Lead
us to offer more prayer privately at home.
Thank you and we praise you, in Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen
