PRAYERS
OF THE PEOPLE
March 2, 2008
Dear gracious heavenly Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and the most loving
Holy Spirit, our almighty God, we praise you, we worship you, and we
love you in Christ. Thank
you that we have been brought together by you, to actually be a part of
Christ’s praise for you, Father, in your Spirit.
In the spirit of faith that we see in our hearts, we now want to
pray for each other, and you’re Lordship all over this world.
For missionaries, evangelists, ministers, deacons, and elders all over
this world, we pray that they will continually be led by you to have
clearer and deeper understandings of your message of personal love,
grace, and mercy. Lead them
to see and know that they are sharing with you, by your presence, in
what you are doing to minister where other people need it in their
lives.
You know that we do not fully understand the situation and circumstances
that we are in, but we are assured that we are personally in your
mission and ministry, and we are certainly seeing the new evidence of
spiritual courage in our congregation.
Give us peace, unity, and together a vision of where you are
leading us.
You are the judge of all the nations; you created humanity for
salvation, not destruction, not terrorism, and you sent you Son to guide
us into the way of peace. Enable
people of every race and nation to accept each other as sisters and
brothers, your children, on whom you properly lead to faithful sight.
Compassionate God, your Son gives rest to those weary with heavy
burdens. Heal the sick in
body, mind, and spirit. Lift
up the depressed. Befriend
those who grieve. Comfort
the anxious. Stand with all
victims of abuse and other crimes.
Hear us now as we pray silently for our loved ones…and lead certain
ones of us to pray out loud…
In Jesus name we offer these prayers.
AMEN!
