Sunday in Lent

Dear gracious heavenly Father, in your sovereignty, through your divine
grace, all based on your personal love, you sent you’re only begotten
Son, who in his own heart knew He could accomplish for you want you
desired. We are so thankful
that you have brought us here, to share in the Holy Spirit together, as
you continue to show us and teach us more of all you have, are, and will
do for us. We praise you
and worship you, dear God!
We pray for the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ, of course in our
community, but also, all over the world.
Please lead those you are calling into ministry to apply, teach
and grow in your love.
Right now, as we are experiencing a unique situation, in our own
congregation, please have mercy on us, reform us all in such a way that
we may grow in our true love for you, and actually, by the Holy Spirit,
help you in a new kind of revival in this area, through these days.
As, in our hearts, we feel various kinds of deeper and even new emotions
through all this, we want to take a few moments to pray individually and
silently for important people in our lives, and if it is your will, lead
some of us to pray out loud to share with us all…
Have mercy, and offer guidance to those whom you have led to be
governmental leaders. We
know from your Word to us, that you care for the oppressed, the poor,
the sick, and those who are terrorized by people being pushed by evil.
“Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in
heaven.”
These are our prayer. We
offer them to you, with the faith that in some way they have been put
into our hearts by Christ. I
n Jesus name we pray.
