PRAYERS
OF THE PEOPLE
Our gracious, loving heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, our Holy
Spirit, God, thank you once again that we have been brought by you to
come together and be blessed with your greatest pleasure, speaking your
Word to us in our hearts, transforming us into who we are in Jesus
Christ.
We praise you; we worship you; we seek to lift before you the prayers
for others that you have put into our hearts.
Please, lead us to be more open to recognizing the needs of the homeless
and poverty oriented in our community.
Thank you for the coming together of the Kaufman Christian Help
Center, and our being able to help with this years school supplies.
We pray for ourselves, our sisters and brothers, adopted into your life,
in this church. We desire
to grow spiritually. We
want to experience your love and presence in our lives in ways that we
may share the truth of Jesus Christ in this community.
If we are to be some of your evangelists, please show us how we
may participate with Christ in your ministry around us.
We know you have blessed us with your Gospel.
As we think about each other, with us this morning, and our family
members and friends, in other places, comfort them and relieve them of
trouble, sorrow, sickness, and grief, whom we name before you in
silence, and pray out loud together, if led by the Holy Spirit…
Lead all the nations in the Middle East in the way of justice and
goodwill; our nation too. Direct
those who govern, that they may rule fairly, maintain order, uphold
those in need, and defend the oppressed people; that this world may
claim your rule and know your peace.
In Jesus’ name we pray.
