PRAYERS
OF THE PEOPLE
Lord, thank you for bringing us into your church.
We praise you because of all you have done for us in our lives.
We worship you because of all you have taught us and revealed to
us about your gracious love for us.
Thank you for faith, hope, and love.
Thank you for the gospel that you are speaking to us.
And we desire to open our hearts and give to you the greatest
glory we are capable of because of the real presence of Christ in our
lives.
We are so blessed with our sisters and brothers praying and worshiping
with us in your church. Thank
you for our story. Thank
you for your Lordship with us in this church.
We pray for ourselves as your church.
Lead us in how you desire for us to grow.
May we grow spiritually, in coming to know your love in our lives
in new ways? And, our
prayer is that you will lead us to see and know how we may participate
with you in your ministry within this community.
May we be lead to minister to young people in our community?
We pray for each other, for those who are suffering certain anxieties in
their lives, for those who are sick, physically and emotionally, for
those who are grieving losses in their lives; we lift one another to you
in silent prayer within our hearts …and audibly if you lead us…
Protect them all who in the Middle East are being threatened by evil.
Bring into leadership your human beings who are gifted by you to
reach out for the oppressed. And even as a congregation where we are, if there is someway
we may reach out for those who need your care, we seek your will.
Eternal God, you created us by your power and redeemed us by your love.
Guide and strengthen us by your Spirit that we may give ourselves
in love and service to one another and to you; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen.
