PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

Dear loving heavenly Father, we begin by giving our thankfulness, that by your authority, we are being lifted up by the Holy Spirit to be with our Lord Jesus, worshiping, praising, communicating with you, loving you.  We are amazed by what the Holy Bible teaches us about your gracious actions in this world.  Some of our most wonderful joys occur when we meditate upon the graceful blessings you have accomplished in our lives.  Lead and help us to be more personally communicating with you because of your faith, hope, and love for us.

Our situation, as a congregation whom you love so much, to us can be mysterious, fascinating, and painful.  Our prayer is that you will teach us obedience even through our suffering.  And that you will teach us certainly about the deep level of grace you are revealing to us, so we may share that truth with others in our community. Lord, we are now going to pray for our sisters and brothers in the church, our family members, and other loved ones.  We are going to pray silently and audibly if that is your will …

Thank you for this time of prayer, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
